When I was first asked to photograph a senior session, fear made me want to politely decline. First of all, her mom is a 15yr veteran photographer and would be at the session!! What if she didn't like my ideas? What if I couldn't think of any ideas?! Talk about intimidation! Most important, this was a senior we were talking about! One of the cool crowd! I was never part of that crowd and I guess it's something that sticks with you no matter how old you are. I mean, what if she didn't like any of my ideas? What if I couldn't think of any ideas?! I'm awful at saying no though and besides, my first "official" client session was amazing so why wouldn't my first "official" senior be any different? That only comforted me a little so I decided to fake the rest and do the best I knew! Thank goodness I didn't let fear and "what if" rule my life because if I had, I wouldn't have captured these awesome photos of the gorgeous Bree.
Bree, you were such a rock-star!! I couldn't have asked for a better model, it took you no time at all to warm up to the camera. What was I worrying about, all teenage girls love photos!! ;) You were a natural at posing and it really made my "job" easier, all I had to do was point you in the right direction! I hope you had as much fun running around downtown as I did! and a extra shout out to Bree's mom who was in no way intimidating! Thanks for "oooohing" and "awwwwing" at the sneak peeks/previews, you're enthusiasm reminded me why I love capturing moments like this for others. :)
*Just a friendly tip...trains move faster than they appear! It was a shock to see and feel how fast they go by, I think she and I were both a little scared at first! I'll keep it in mind when attempting another shot like this haha*
Congratulations on your achievement! I wish you the very best in the future, have some fun though because being an adult can be over-rated sometimes ;) So soak it up as you go and embrace life as it comes at you! Check out my other faves on facebook! Enjoy!
X's and O's,
Brandi Sue
